About Spak Brothers

Spak Brothers is a pizza restaurant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 5107 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15224, which places it among the local businesses of Pittsburgh that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. The most common schedule is 3–9 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. Its website is spakbrothers.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 1,289 reviews, which is a strong result for a pizza restaurant in Pittsburgh and suggests consistent service.

Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Pittsburgh peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The food was delicious, until my vegetarian order made me sick and realized I had been cross-contaminated. Someone else went in and did mention my food sensitivity when placing our order. My friend said no one changes gloves and they just dipped their hands into toppings. I had heard so many good things but I can't take the risk. I was very disappointed for a place that is supposed to be veg-friendly.

Ordered a XL white pizza, 10 buffalo wings, & a 12" Blue Steak hoagie via UberEats for takeout. The total was $60. They were pretty quick to complete the order and it was packaged well. The pizza and steak hoagie were each 5/5 quality for the price and I'd 100% order them again. The wings were decent, but I don't think I'd get them again. On street parking only. There's not much room inside the store but they got me in and out quick. Solid quality and quantity for the cost.

I'm not a bread vegan (more of a plant-based vegan) but this should be better when I'm drunk (waited at the brewery next door) but it's actually super mid. We also waited an hour and 20 minutes for our food (calzone and vegan wings) to be ready, which is long by itself and also longer than anticipated (1 hour discussed wait time)! Would not come back, but glad we tried.

Great vegan pizza and wings! Craving a thin crust pizza? Happen to prefer plant based food? Then this is a must-try for you! My partner and I were craving pizza so we ordered a vegan buffalo seitan pizza, seitan wings tossed in buffalo sauce and garlic, and a seitan cheesesteak hoagie. I mean, might as well try a little bit of everything, right? The pizza was a big hit. Great texture and flavor from the crust. The pizzas at Spak Brothers are on the thinner side. Lots of buffalo flavor without being overpowering. Not sure what vegan cheese they use, but it seemed fairly standard with other vegan pizzas I’ve had. The vegan seitan wings were also a great take on a pizza parlor favorite. Chewy texture and a boat load of flavor from the vegan sauces the wings are tossed in. The wings and pizza both came with Spak Brothers house made vegan ranch. I did try the vegan seitan cheesesteak sandwich, but didn’t care much for it. For some reason it didn’t seem to have much flavor and the bread didn’t hold up to the ingredients. Highly recommend ordering ahead of time. During dinner the orders can take a while due to how popular Spak Brothers is. Not much of a dining room if you’re thinking o

Hands down one of the best pizzas I've had while traveling. Crust is thin, toppings are high quality and overall a great experience. My husband ordered a steak and mushroom pizza and while that's not a combination I usually enjoy, I loved it! They have a very extensive vegetarian and vegan selection. Next time we're in town I hope to try one of their hoagies!
